General AI is the ultimate goal of AI research, as it would enable machines to have human-like intelligence and capabilities. However, general AI is still a distant and elusive vision, as it faces many challenges and limitations in terms of complexity, scalability, and ethics.

AI has many benefits and drawbacks for society and humanity. On the one hand, AI can enhance human productivity, creativity, and well-being by automating tedious and dangerous tasks, providing useful information and insights, and creating new products and services. On the other hand, AI can pose risks and threats to human values, rights, and dignity by displacing human workers, invading human privacy, manipulating human behavior, and challenging human authority. Therefore, it is important to develop and use AI in a responsible and ethical manner that respects human interests and values.
